Lilacs & Champagne distort and warp funk, hip-hop and movie scores with a heady brilliance on their newest and best album.

Over years of work and multiple releases Emil Amos and Alex Hall, aka Lilacs & Champagne, have gradually worked out a strong recipe for their cocktail of hip-hop, b-movie samples, library music and heavy psych. Using visual accompaniments of dreamy vintage pornography in the same way that Tobacco’s music takes so well to long forgotten horror movies, the duo have never sounded more in their element on their latest release, Midnight Features Vol. 2: Made Flesh.

Expanding far beyond last year’s volume, Made Flesh gently pushes and pulls between smooth funk and fractured, often dark, psychedelia. They’re sex jams for people a little too stoned for actual sex and they’re a blast to listen to.

Stream Midnight Features Vol. 2: Made Flesh below and grab the record March 17 via Temporary Residence.
