Comes complete with Grammy hat.

The Hong Kong edition of the Art Basel show took place this week, with half of the galleries on display coming from Asia and the Asia-Pacific region. Japanese artist Mr., a protege of Galerie Perrotin artist Takashi Murakami, created one of the most vibrant pieces at the fair.

Mr. created cartoon action-figure-like sculptures of Pharrell Williams, complete with the producer’s signature “Grammy hat”. The figures were modelled on Williams’ voyeuristic avatar from the ‘It Girl’ music video.

Mr.’s mini-Pharrells figures were created in an edition of 30 with a price tag of $20,000 each. According to Art News, “several” of the figures had been sold to international collectors. [via The Creators Project]
