The exhibition will feature works from contemporary black American artists.

Drake is partnering with auction house Sotheby’s to soundtrack an exhibition at their New York headquarters next month. Sotheby’s describes Drake as one of today’s “foremost cultural tastemakers,” and hopes the OVO musician can help boost its private sales by adding some of his personal touch.

Drake will be choosing the music to accompany some of the artworks, with visitors able to experience his selections at listening stations in the Sotheby’s gallery. The exhibition includes roughly 20 works by artists such as Rashid Johnson, Nick Cave (not that one), Glenn Ligon, Kara Walker, Wangechi Mutu and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

The idea for the Drake collaboration came through a personal connection within Sotheby’s contemporary art department, said the auction house, and he is not being paid.

The exhibition will be held from April 28 to June 12 at Sotheby’s S2 Gallery in New York City.
