The Chicago rapper is so hotly-tipped, her influence extends beyond the mortal realm.

Timbaland has been handling production for Tink’s debut album, so it’s only right he should appear on stage to sing her praises. However, during her set last night at the Fader Fort at SXSW, he wasn’t the only artist to get behind her music – he claims the late Aaliyah spoke to him in a dream to offer her own endorsement.

“I don’t touch any of my sister’s records. I don’t touch Baby Girl’s records—you know that’s Aaliyah,” Timbaland said after Tink performed an adaptation of Aaliyah’s ‘One In A Million’. “She spoke to me in my sleep and said, ‘She’s the one.’”

You can watch the unexpected turn of events via the Instagram clip below. For more Tink, see why we listed her forthcoming debut as one of the albums we actually give a shit about this year. [via The Fader]
