Despite already running two labels, Unknown To The Unknown and Hot Haus Recs boss DJ Haus thinks there’s room for another.

Hot Shit Recs In Effekt launches today with a record from Italian producer DJ Octopus, whose thumping analog house has graced labels like Chiwax, Hardmoon and Hot Haus over the past few years.

The four-track Untitled EP contains four hardware jams with the rough-and-ready style of The Analogue Cops mixed with the feelgood vibes of classic ’90s house music. As well as the kind of storming “psyched out rave-houz and party poppers” we’d expect from a label run by DJ Haus, the record also features some artificial slap bass worthy of the Seinfeld theme tune on ‘The Player’.
