Architecture and music collide.

Newcomer Sam Stevens, aka Slam Skillet, is a 22-year-old student at Columbia University with an interest in the intersection of club music and architecture.

His latest EP, Collagen, to be released via the DIRTY//CLEAN label, further explores Stevens’ view of the two artforms as one and the same. Both are iterative, repetitive and modular, and this is where he draws inspiration for melodic, minimal techno workouts.

Collagen features five tracks from the young producer alongside a remix from Her Records co-boss Miss Modular, a fan of Stevens who has provided an upfront rethinking of ‘Connective’ to close the release. You can stream the remix exclusively below.

The EP drops April 7, and you can pre-order it now on Bandcamp.
