The Krakow festival heads to Canada for the first time in June.

After holding successful festivals in Krakow, New York, London and Adelaide over the past decade, Unsound will hold its first Toronto event as part of the city’s Luminato multi-arts festival in June.

The centrepiece of the event will see the Unsound-commissioned Ephemera installation make its way into a live setting. Tim Hecker will provide music while Geza Schoen’s conceptual perfume fills the performance space illuminated by MFO’s specially-designed lighting, in an attempt to induce synaesthesia in the audience.

Unsound Toronto also includes a rare show from ambient drone duo Stars Of The Lid, Robert Henke’s Lumiere II show, Morton Subotnick performing his seminal 1967 album Silver Apples Of The Moon and Atom™ & Robin Fox’s Double Vision show. The festival also features the North American debut of Golden Pudel resident and Werkdiscs artist Helena Hauff and a showcase of Polish music featuring We Will Fail, BNNT and RSS B0YS.

Unsound Toronto at Luminato Festival takes place from June 19-20. For full details and ticket information, visit the Luminato website.
