This app lets you kick someone off the Spotify decks when they’re ruining a house party

Party Pooper aims to democratise the tune selection process once and for all.

If you’re sick of friends with poor taste ruining parties when they commandeer Spotify with their questionable playlists, a mobile app might have the solution.

Party Pooper – which comes from Ustwo, the same independent studio that created ace puzzler Monument Valley – turns communal tune selection into a more democratic process. You create a channel using the app, invite your friends to join you, queue songs from Spotify and then vote on what keeps playing.

You’ll need a Spotify subscription to create playlists, but if you’ve got the free version you can still vote on songs as they’re played. The app is free, and it’s available for both iOS via the App Store and Android via Google Play now. [via WonderHowTo]
