The famed north London studio opens its virtual doors.

Abbey Road Studios has teamed up with Google to create an interactive tour of the hallowed spaces where the likes of the Beatles, Stevie Wonder and Radiohead recorded some of their best-known music.

Powered by its Street View technology, Google’s Inside Abbey Road walkthrough allows you to snoop around the building and explore different studios, listen to some live recordings and even test your mixing skills. You can take a guided tour led by Giles Martin, the son of Beatles producer George Martin, or radio presenter Lauren Laverne, or even get a more technical perspective from engineer Mirek Stiles.

Each of the three studios can be explored through 150 different 360-degree panoramic images, including archive photos, and you can also watch footage from various recording sessions through history, including clips of the London Symphony Orchestra recording the music for Final Fantasy.

Watch a teaser below and head to Inside Abbey Road for the full experience.
