The Implodes guitarist will release his third album for the Chicago institution.

Ken Camden will release a new album entitled Dream Memory in June. On top of his solo output, Camden is also the guitarist for Implodes, an experimental rock outfit that has released two albums via Kranky in the last few years. Camden has released two of his own albums on the label – Lethargy & Repercussions in 2010 and Space Mirror in 2013.

Dream Memory finds Camden once again experimenting with his electric guitar, using “a steel slide and e-bow technique… to bridge the textural gap between guitar and synthesizer,” according to the press release. The LP also utilises an “organic vocal sampling machine” called the Vocaltron, described as a Mellotron for voices.

Kranky will release Ken Camden’s Dream Memory on June 15. Stream album cut ‘Curiosity’ below. [via RA]
