The new festival will bring the club to the Swedish countryside.

This summer sees the debut of a brand new Swedish festival called Into The Valley, where a carefully picked selection of house and techno’s best descend on an open-air stage in an old limestone quarry.

Heading up the festival’s list of names is Nicolas Jaar who appears with a host of other big names including Planet E’s Carl Craig, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Nina KravizRecondite, John Talabot, Kim Ann Foxman, Tale Of UsÂme, Dixon and Mount Kimbie performing a rare DJ set. Into The Valley will also showcase some of Sweden’s plentiful local talent including Axel Boman, Baba Stiltz, Kornél Kovács and more.

The festival is a joint venture between Stockholm production agency Segrén Hedlund and Dalhalla, the open-air stage hosting the festival. Usually home to opera performances, the organisers are hoping to bring a taste of the club into Dalhalla’s rural location, located in the middle of the ancient Dalarna forest, just outside the small town of Rättvik.

Into The Valley takes place on July 31-August 1, and the organisers are also putting on trains for attendees to get from Stockholm and back. Full details and tickets can be found at the Into The Valley website.
