The boxer says he will pay following his fight with Manny Pacquiao this weekend.

Update: Nope, it looks like he isn’t. According to a member of Mayweather’s Money Team, speaking to TMZ, Suge’s lawyer is mistaken. Floyd and Suge were close in the past, apparently, but they haven’t been in contact in several years.

Suge Knight may be getting bailed out of jail next week. Knight’s lawyer told the New York Daily News today that famed boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. has come forward to pay the bail next week following his title fight with Manny Pacquiao this Saturday. He described Mayweather and Knight as “good friends” adding, “there’s no reason he shouldn’t. And we believe that will happen.”

Knight’s bail was originally set at $25 million, an announcement that caused him to collapse in court. That number was later dropped to $10 million along with one of the hit-and-run charges. Despite that, Knight is still up for charges of murder and attempted murder and could potentially receive as much as 75 years in prison.

Knight’s trial date has been set for July 16, unless a motion is made to continue it for a later date
