If you hated The Prodigy’s most recent album (or indeed anything they’ve released since the early ’90s), you could be in luck.

In an interview with NME, Keith Flint has said the band’s 25-year career could be coming to an end. “I think that the band’s gonna come to an end at some point,” Flint said. “And it’s got to be soon. It will end before we want it to because of the realities of age.”

“There comes a point where you don’t want to be Uncle Alan at the wedding reception,” Liam Howlett added, seemingly aware that a lot of their early music is now approaching the point where it could be considered acceptable to play at family gatherings.

The band haven’t laid out a timescale yet, but did say that the “people decide when we fuck off.” So there you have it. [via Mixmag]
