One of the greatest ever video game soundtracks gets remastered and reissued.

Nile Rodgers‘ video game OST label Sumthing Else has given a second musical life to Grim Fandango, the classic LucasArts’ point and click. Set on the Day of the Dead, the game is driven by a rampant latin jazz score by Peter McConnell. Appropriately, the soundtrack is released on the national Mexican holiday of Cinco de Mayo – May 5.

Grim Fandango Remastered includes the original score from the LucasArts archives, new compositions by Peter McConnell and new orchestral arrangements recorded with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, as well as new extended versions of jazz pieces re-mixed at Sony Computer Entertainment America.
