The chameleonic John Heckle returns with another very tasty EP.

Blues for a Red Giant follows the Liverpudlian producer’s acid-tinged Laid Away EP and sees him bending his crunchy analogue set-up into increasingly exotic shapes.

Opener ‘Bon Voyage’ feels like a glorious homage to vintage synthpop while ‘Red Giant Encounter’ is powered by menacing sci-fi drones; elsewhere he drifts into woozy forest techno and hypnotic melodies. Check out the clips in the player below.
