The Polish and Italian festivals bring two unique performances to the capital.

Unsound and Club To Club are teaming up for a one-off show in London this September, featuring two performances exploring the relationship between sound and image.

Unsound will be presenting the London premiere of Atom™ and Robin Fox’s Double Vision. Originally commissioned by Unsound and Adelaide Festival, the audio-visual show came about through the pair’s interest in the possibilities of combining laser and video with experimental sound and deconstructed pop music.

Club To Club meanwhile will be presenting Pole and MFO’s Wald. The performance is a new project in which Berlin artist Pole performs his forthcoming album Wald alongside still images manipulated and animated by visual artist MFO.

In addition, Club To Club will also be bringing Vaghe Stelle, Ninos Du Brasil and Not Waving to perform between the main acts as part of The Italian New Wave series of events.

The show is part of the Barbican’s Transcender series, and takes place at London’s Village Underground on September 24. Tickets are on sale to Barbican members now, and to the general public tomorrow (May 15) at 10am – full details can be found at the Barbican website.

Last year, FACT spoke to Atom™ and Robin Fox about Double Vision – read the interview here.
