The WristBoom is another device poised to make a nuisance of itself in public.

California-based company BiGR Audio has launched a crowdfunding campaign to manufacture the WristBoom, a wearable Bluetooth speaker that looks like a wristwatch.

The WristBoom costs just $49, with an early bird price of $20 – it can also be used as a speakerphone for voice calls, but there are no music controls, meaning everything has to be controlled by your phone. Charging the device takes two hours, while battery life is 4-6 hours.

If you need the exact audio specification, the WristBoom is rated at 4 Ohms and 2 Watts, with a frequency response of 60 hz to 20,000 khz. It’s fairly low, but The Next Web says the performance is actually pretty good for such a tiny device.

If the WristBoom meets its $35,000 target, BiGR is hoping to ship the device in August – you can find out more at Indiegogo. If you’re looking for something more permanently fixed than the WristBoom, Sony recently released a lightbulb with a Bluetooth speaker inside. [via The Next Web]
