Update, July 2: Chance is playing a werewolf in the film.

According to an interview with director Austin Vesley in RedEye, the rapper is playing a werewolf and former Chinese food delivery boy in the movie.

“Basically, these murders start happening and they hearken back to an incident that happened with him years before, and they arouse the town’s suspicions,” Vesely said.

According to Vesley, the role was written with Chance in mind. “He basically told me that when the time comes that I could make something, he’d be there for me,” he said, adding that he plans to He plans to “tailor the role more to his voice and his humor.”

Chance The Rapper is set to star in another film.

The Chicago MC was featured in a short film called Mr. Happy earlier this year, and is set to add another acting credit to his CV. Chance has been picked to star in Slice, a feature-length whodunnit film that follows the aftermath of a pizza deliver driver’s murder.

Slice is directed by Austin Vesley, and the project already has an Instagram account with cartoon posters, which you can view below. According to IMDB, the film is set to arrive next year.
