The hip-hop focused festival returns to the beaches of Croatia this month.

Fresh Island will return this month from July 15-17 to the beautiful Croatian island of Pag with an impressive line up of hip-hop, grime, and r’n’b. In addition to the performances on land, each day will feature artists at the multiple parties held on boats that push off from the Zrće Beach. Since you can find the lineup previously, today we’ve rounded up five of artists that you should really try and seek out.

Migos

Migos are finally set to release their long awaited debut album Y.R.N: Tha Album (which landed a spot on our recent list of anticipated albums) at the end of July. That makes their performance here one of the closest to that July 31 release date. Migos’ larger-than-life presence is a pretty perfect compliment to the surroundings.

Stormzy

We could write something about how Stormzy is arguably the most promising young grime MC around right now. We could do that, but honestly it would just take time away from watching the ‘Know Me From’ video for the hundredth time.

Danny Brown

There’s a chaos to most music festivals that has always seemed to compliment Danny Brown. His performances are at their most unpredictable in this kind of loose setting and considering he mentioned his new album was almost done earlier this year, you might even catch some new material.

Skepta

This has already been an enormous year for Skepta. After appearing with Kanye West at the Brit Awards and reportedly working with him in the studio, he’s put out singles that have left us eagerly awaiting his upcoming LP Konnichiwa.

Big Narstie

Did you really think we weren’t going to include Big Narstie? He’s one of the strongest grime offerings at the festival and is simply one of the most charismatic personalities you’ll find there. We gave him a TV show for goodness sake.
