The studio behind Straight Outta Compton has big plans for the film’s promotion.

As part of a feature about N.W.A. and the biopic Straight Outta Compton, Universal chief Donna Langley says that the studio is working on “something nobody in the rap world thought was possible”: an N.W.A. reunion tour.

Caveats abound: it would be a European tour featuring Eminem “sitting in as an honorary member,” and Langley admits that, “We don’t have anything settled yet with everyone’s schedules… But we think it can create a lot of buzz.”

With the movie due out on August 15, the clock is certainly ticking. Last month, N.W.A. members Ice Cube, MC Ren, and DJ Yella reunited for a performance at the BET Experience. [via Hollywood Reporter]
