It’s that time of year again.
Every summer for the last 18 (!) years, MoMA PS1 has invited audiences to check out Warm Up, an outdoor music series presenting the best in underground, experimental music each Saturday, and 2015’s selection is looking unmissable. FACT have teamed up with the Warm Up crew to present a special series of mixes – one each week to coincide with the shows – so even if you’re nowhere near New York City, you can still enjoy this year’s lineup from afar.
This week, Houston-based producer Rabit steps up to the plate, bringing his unique brand of club music with him. Rabit’s been on the FACT radar for a while, and after his phenomenal Baptizm EP on Tri Angle earlier this year, we’ve been waiting patiently for his debut album, which is set to drop in fall. Few other producers have been able to capture the essence of club music while truly pushing the sound forward, and this is something Rabit continues to explore in his Warm Up mix as he bounces from genre to genre without missing a beat. Anyone who caught last year’s incredible Pandemic Transmission series will not be disappointed.
Rabit will be performing alongside Moritz Von Oswald, Atom, Jlin and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs this Saturday.
