The nominees for this year’s AIM Independent Music Awards were announced last night at House of Vans London.

Björk, The Bug and JME are all up for Independent Album of the Year while Erased Tapes and Planet Mu have both been nominated for Independent Label of the Year.

Swans and Young Fathers are among the nominees for Hardest Working Band or Artist, and FKA twigs and Run The Jewels are in the running for the Independent Breakthrough of the Year. 

Check out the full list of nominations below. The winners will be revealed at a ceremony hosted by XFM’s John Kennedy and Radio 1’s Alice Levine in London on September 8.

This year’s Innovator Award goes to the founders of Ninja Tune, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, while the Pioneer Award will be picked up by Earache Records boss Digby Pearson.
