The label expands with a 12″ from the Vancouver producer.

Vancouver label 1080p has been known for its love of the cassette format, but as Juno Plus reports, the label’s next release takes the form of its first 12″ vinyl issue.

Making a nod to Agent Mulder’s famous choice of office decoration in The X-Files, I Want To Believe is a four-track EP of sun-drenched house music comes from Vancouver producer Project Pablo. The tracks are taken from the producer’s  cassette of the same name, released on 1080p earlier this year.

While the 12″ is the first vinyl record to be released by 1080p, the label has licensed out its tapes for other labels to release on vinyl, most notably Lnrdcroy’s Much Less Normal, which was released on vinyl by Firecracker earlier this year.

You can preview the 12″ ahead of its release on August 28 via the stream below, and should go down well with fans of Vancouver’s Mood Hut collective.
