Sam Shepherd’s party is revived following Plastic People’s closure.

You’re A Melody, the London-based club night run by Floating Points, will return following an extended hiatus next month.

The party was originally held at London’s Plastic People, but was put on ice following the venue’s closure in January. The next edition is due to take place at the Hoxton Basement on September 11, with Floating Points joined by Red Greg and Jeremy Underground.

Conceived by the producer as a night “celebrating Soul from around the world, it first took place in 2013 but hasn’t taken place in London since Plastic People shut its doors.

The news follows the announcement of Floating Points’ debut album, Eleania. You can buy tickets here, and listen to a recording of the first edition of the club night below. [via RA]
