The soundtrack to the horror classic is getting its first full release.

Lalo Schifrin’s Oscar-nominated score for The Amityville Horror, the supernatural thriller that sparked off a seemingly endless chain of sequels and remakes back in 1979, is getting a reissue.

The soundtrack features the complete score from the MGM production in mono on one disc and the surviving stereo tracks, as well as a number of bonus tracks on the second disc, and it marks the first time the score has been available in full.

The limited edition CD is available for pre-order from Quartet Records’ website, where you can also check out audio samples. [via Film Music Reporter]
