Two hours of history from a British institution.

Ninja Tune are turning 25 this year, and to celebrate the London-based label took over the BBC’s Essential Mix yesterday.

The two-hour session features label founders Coldcut followed by one of their latest signee, Seven Davis Jr.

In between tracks from some of Ninja Tune’s best known artists and newcomers – Roots Manuva, The Bug, Bonobo, DJ Vadim – the trio also mixed in classics and outsiders to the label including Moresounds, Arthur Russel, Dream Continuum, and WIFE.

You can listen back to the broadcast via the BBC website.
