Some of Jack Latham’s early music will be reissued.

Shortly after his first two Jam City singles, Jack Latham contributed a soundtrack to Lux Laze, a short science fiction film by Daniel Swan, who met Jam City at Camberwell Art College. “Jam City was in the year below me and we worked on a few different things before I made a music video for him”, Swan, who has also made videos for Dux Content and George Fitzgerald, explained to FACT earlier this year.

As spotted by Juno Plus, the film was issued as a VHS, comic and DVD-R bundle, with Latham’s soundtrack released as a limited-to-50 cassette. The soundtrack will be reissued as the first release on Utter, a label from Alex Egan (who used to DJ regularly as half of Skull Juice at South London’s Redstar venue, the home of Night Slugs’ early club nights). Lux Laze will be released on 10″ vinyl on November 20, mixed by Timothy J Fairplay and mastered by Andreas ‘Lupo’ Lubich. It will also include a 50cm x 75cm fold-out poster, as well as the film and extra content as a downloadable extra.
