New York producer pays homage to foundational studio.

In an interview with French website Hip-Hop 4 Life, DJ Premier has revealed he is working on a new album called Last Session at 320.

Titled after the address for the legendary D&D Studios in New York, a hub for the city’s independent scene in the 1990s that Premier took over in 2003 and renamed HeadQCourterz, the album features guest spots from Dr. Dre, Nas, Snoop Dogg, Christina Aguilera, Ed Sheeran, Black Moon, Smif-n-Wessun, Heltah Skeltah, and others.

During the interview Premier also hints that he is currently trying to convince Eminem (who recorded at D&D) to appear.

The album will also come with a documentary about D&D Studios. Before all this Premier is set to release a new NYG’z album, which he produced entirely, as well as a collaboration with Los Angeles’ MC Eiht.

You can watch the interview below, which also touches on the previously hinted at Gangstarr biopic, Premier’s first meeting with Prince and how the purple one is a Gangstarr fan. [via Pitchfork]
