Grimes plays new material live in California.

Grimes’ is gearing up for the release of her fourth album, Art Angels. The Montreal artist detailed the forthcoming project last week, citing some of the masculine cultural staples of what she calls “bro-art” as inspiration. Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel are listed as influences, whilst the album will reportedly include a song about Al Pacino as a gender-switching space vampire.

Grimes performed at the Beach Goth 4 Festival in Santa Ana, California on Saturday. Her set included performances of a few as-yet untitled Art Angels cuts. Watch the fan-shot footage below [via NME]
