Australian label-to-watch Cult Trip have announced a new EP from Melbourne electronic experimentalist Rory McPike. His Killed By Deaf EP follows records from J. Albert, Grey People and Elite Athlete.

McPike is perhaps best known for his work as Dan White, with records from that moniker arriving on Jurg Haller’s Forbidden Planet label and Melbourne’s Butter Sessions in recent months. The prolific producer has notched up no fewer than 10 releases since his first in 2013, and was earmarked by FACT earlier this year as one of Australia’s most promising electronic acts.

For his first EP on Cult Trip, McPike has donned his gritty 2200 alias. 2200’s Killed By Deaf EP collects our tracks that span the realms of austere techno, ’80s post-punk and slow-burning ’90s acid. Cult Trip have sent across a slice of cosmic electro in EP closer ‘The Rig’, which you can stream below.

2200’s Killed By Deaf EP will be released via Cult Trip on December 4.
