The duo drop something special before releasing their new album this month.

We got word this summer that Brooklyn producer Francis Harris was teaming with guitarist Gabe Hedrick for a new album, Floods, under the alias Aris Kindt. A return to Harris’ Scissor & Thread imprint, the album is inspired by late author W.G. Sebald’s interpretation of Rembrandt’s ‘The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp’.

Floods isn’t out until November 20, but before then the duo have shared something special with us: a cover of Slowdive’s classic Pygmalion-opener ‘Rutti’, made in collaboration with Desert Sound Colony on vocals. Listen to it below and revisit Harris’ FACT mix from earlier this year with his Frank & Tony collaborator Anthony Collins.
