A new feature will suggest gigs in your area based on your listening habits.

Spotify already believes it has the best algorithm for music recommendation, but now it wants to recommend concerts for its users too.

The streaming service today launched a “Concerts” feature that uses your listening data to recommend shows for you, and updates its picks as your behaviour evolves, TechCrunch reports.

The feature was built in partnership with concert tracking service Songkick, and even allows you to change your location to see what concerts are playing elsewhere, in case you want to plan gigs on holiday.

In July, Spotify introduced Discover Weekly, a playlist that recommends two hours of music based on your listening habits. There’s nothing like that from this feature yet, but it will allow artists to reach out to Spotify’s users and offer updates for fans.

The Concerts feature should be rolling out to all iOS and Android users now.
