Tickets for the “Piano and a Microphone” tour were originally due to go on sale at 10am today.

Prince looks to have postponed ticket sales for his forthcoming “Piano and a Microphone” tour because of touting concerns.

Tickets were due to go on sale today at 10am, but a postponement was announced by Ticketmaster shortly beforehand. As The Guardian notes, Prince’s Twitter feed has since been filled with references to online ticket purchasing, secondary ticketing sites and touts, who he likened to vultures in one tweet.

Prince also linked to a recent report from consumer magazine Which that found tickets were often being made available on secondary sites before they had been made available to the general public.

Prince is due to play two shows each in Glasgow, London and Birmingham from November 27 to December 1 with just himself and a piano. There’s no indication as to when the tickets will go on sale, but another tweet from the artist suggests he could be thinking about getting fans to queue up on the day as he did on his “Hit and Run Tour” in 2014.
