Events featuring Jean Michel Jarre, Nozinja and more have all been cancelled.

Red Bull Music Academy has announced it will be putting all public shows on hold until at least November 19 following the terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday night.

Shows have been delayed following security advice from the French authorities, which has forced venues across the city to close.

Events originally scheduled to take place this week included a public lecture by Jean Michel Jarre, a live show featuring Nozinja and a ballroom party with Vjuan Allure and Teki Latex.

The Academy’s Paris headquarters are situated at La Gaite Lyrique, a short distance from the Bataclan concert venue where 89 people died. RBMA’s Lauren Martin confirmed via Twitter that all the Academy’s participants were safe following the attacks.

Among those killed in the attacks at the Bataclan concert venue were a French music journalist, record label employee and merchandise seller.
