Prepare for an epic triple LP from the influential pop fusionists.

Stereolab co-founder Tim Gane has formed a new band in Berlin with original Stereolab drummer Joe Dilworth and the splendidly monikered Holger Zapf, who naturally plays synths.

After a handful of limited vinyl releases, Cavern Of Anti-Matter are set to debut with an epic 72-minute album next year, featuring guest vocals from Bradford Cox of Deerhunter and Sonic Boom (formerly Spacemen 3), and sound processing from Jan St. Werner of Mouse On Mars.

void beats/invocation trex will be released on Duophonic on triple LP, CD and digital on February 19, and the first music shared from the project is ‘Melody in High Feedback Tones’, a song for the Autobahn if ever we heard one.

The band will be touring internationally around the release, and you can get a sneak peek via their 2013 performance at CTM.
