Eagles of Death Metal returned to the French capital for their first live performance since last month’s terror attacks.

The band were brought out by U2 during their concert at AccorHotels Arena on Monday evening for a cover of Patti Smith’s ‘People Have the Power’, taken from her 1988 album Dream of Life. U2 performed the same song with Smith in Paris on Sunday.

U2 then stepped aside so that Eagles of Death Metal could perform their own song, ‘I Love You All the Time’. “They were robbed of their stage, so we would like to offer them ours,” Bono said in introducing the California band.

The concert was filmed by HBO and will be broadcast later this evening. Fan-shot footage can be seen below, along with an extended clip on Periscope (starting at 15:20). [via CoS]
