Watch them perform ‘Gloria’ and ‘People Have The Power’ below.

U2 brought out Patti Smith to join in a tribute to victims of the Paris attacks during their concert in the French capital on Sunday night. They performed ‘Gloria’ from Smith’s 1975 debut Horses and ‘People Have The Power’ from her 1988 album Dream of Life. Bono recently performed the same medley with Smith in London.

During the performance Bono said, “We stand together with the families who lost their loved ones in Paris. We stand together with families in San Bernardino. We stand together with families in Beirut and Istanbul. We stand together before those with false ideologies of the god they serve.”

U2 were scheduled to play two concerts in the French capital the night after the Paris terror attacks and had to reschedule their shows. They performed on the weekend in front of a backdrop that featured a large French flag composed of the names of the victims. [via Billboard]
