You In The Right Spot features Kruton beats made 15 years ago.

Berlin’s Power Vacuum has announced details of a collaboration between label founder Milo Smee and NYC rapper Sensational (pictured above).

The You In The Right Spot EP sees Smee adopt his Kruton alias for five tracks that pair his “jagged shards of rhythm” with vocals from Sensational. According to the label, the pair found themselves listening to unreleased material and settled on a set of Smee productions recorded between 1997 and 2003.

The collaboration is an unexpected one for Power Vacuum, which has made a name for itself with acid-soaked techno bangers from Smee’s many aliases, Objekt, EDMX, JoeFarr and others. However, Sensational – who made his debut in the 90s working with the Jungle Brothers under the name Torture – has a history of collaborating with unusual artists, including Madteo and NHK’Koyxen.

You In The Right Spot is released on February 2 on vinyl and digital formats. There’s no audio yet, but you can catch up on the story of Sensational with The Rise And Fall And Rise Of Sensational documentary below.
