The track will be available next week for £2.

Boddika has announced that a new track ‘Ratta’ will be released next week with all proceeds going towards the Earl Mountbatten Hospice in the Isle of Wight, where a terminally ill friend of the producer’s will be cared for in the coming months.

In a statement on Facebook, Boddika explained: “Around 12 months ago I started buying Eurorack modules. One of the first things I wrote while jamming away with it all was a track which I later called ‘Ratta’. I’d forgotten about the track untill I heard Scuba play it in his Awakenings set which also led to lots of messages asking when I will release it.I don’t feel it fits in with what Im writing at the moment (it’s also a little rough around the edges), so i’ve come up with a plan as to how to put this track to good use.

“During the summer of this year, I found out that my very good friend, Jamie, who I’ve known for 23 years was diagnosed with terminal cancer. This news shocked me, as well as everyone else who knows Jamie. Its actually changed my outlook on life completely. I’m going to make the track available as a download as of Monday Dec 14th until NYE and will be selling it for £2. Anyone who wants to pay more/donate please feel free as I’ll be giving all the money to ‘The Earl Mountbatten Hospice’. This is the place that will care for Jamie when he’s very ill as well as many other people who are struggling with this unfair and vile disease. To quote one of my musical heros – “‘Message To The World: “Life Is Fast Ending – So Live!'”
