Fabric wins appeal, sniffer dogs and ID scanners will not be used

Clubbing institution saved from harsh anti-drugs measures.

Good news: Fabric has won its appeal against Islington Council. The council had voted in 2014 to require sniffer dogs, ID scans and other security measures to curb drug use, but after a successful appeal, the club will not be required to do so.

It’s a high note for the London nightlife scene, which has seen clubs close at an “alarming rate.” [via RA]
