It looks like Record Day may actually have some redeeming features.

Fans of Arthur Russell’s cult disco offshoot, Loose Joints, will no doubt be over the moon to learn that a triple-vinyl release is in place for the now contentious annual event, which this year takes place on Saturday April 16.

Pop Your Funk: The Complete Singles Collection will be released via NYC’s West End Records – who last year put out an unheard version of ‘Is It All Over My Face?’ – and will feature different versions of the group’s three singles: ‘Is It All Over My Face’- including Larry Levan‘s storied offering – ‘Pop Your Funk’ and ‘Tell You Today’.

A new posthumous Arthur Russell album, Corn, was released in June last year. (via RA)
