Watch out London: the Mancs are coming.

MCR crew Levelz – the loose-knit, 14-strong group of MCs, DJs and producers – will take over Shapes in Hackney Wick on May 27 for what is bound to be a gloriously mixed bag of a show. They’ve even been described as “Wu-Tang meets the Happy Mondays.”

Last month saw their release of the LVL 11 mixtape, which takes in hip-hop, grime and dubstep to drum & bass, house and even a sprinkling of jazz.

And in other non-music related Levelz news, they made a bit of a name for themselves in December when they hijacked the social media channels of embattled booking agency Elastic Artists, as a form of protest against unpaid debts.
