“The first Canadian signed to BBK”.
Drake has announced his signing to grime label and collective Boy Better Know. He revealed the news on Instagram today with the caption “first Canadian signed to BBK”, following a guest appearance, with Skepta, at a Section Boyz show in London (earlier that evening he’d appeared with Rihanna at the BRIT Awards.)
Both BBK co-founder Skepta and member Wiley appeared to have confirmed the news on social media. Skepta’s Instagram features a photo of a Boy Better Know/OVO t-shirt, which implies some kind of label deal between the two, though the exact details of the deal are yet to be announced. Drake already displayed his love for BBK last fall when he got a tattoo of the label’s insignia. Drake’s new album Views From The 6 is expected in April.
