Our wallets are about to get a little lighter.

There shouldn’t be any need to explain Discogs again – the popular cataloguing and trading site is one of the best places to score used copies of physical records, whether they’re vinyl, CD, cassette or “other”. After announcing their mammoth sales stats from last year and revealing they sold a whopping 6.6 million records, they have now confirmed the launch date for the eagerly-awaited Discogs app.

Set to launch on iOS (although an Android version is in the works), the app will allow you easy access to the massive catalogue when you’re on the move – at the very least it’s going to be a crucial tool to check prices when rifling through the racks. Anyone who’s used the Discogs website on a mobile browser will know how necessary this is going to prove.

The Discogs app will be released on iOS next week, Monday February 29, and if you’re an Android user, you can sign up for beta testing.
