Lots of great sets already lined up.

A new club called Contact is opening in the Shibuya district of Tokyo and Derrick Carter, Louie Vega, Mister Saturday Night, Laurent Garnier, Francois K, DJ Nobu, and more, are all booked in to play sets during April and May.

The two-roomed basement night spot in the heart of Tokyo will be run by the same team behind now-closed venue Air, whose name was coined by club regular Derrick May.

“We want Contact to be a venue where young DJs would work hard and be proud to stand inside the DJ booth. A place where the DJs can grow alongside the venue, and eventually call it their ‘home’,” club director Yuko Ichikawa told RA.

But if you do go to Contact, you’ll have to resist the urge to take a selfie – amateur photography is banned.

Berghain resident Function will play the launch party on April 1.
