Phonica White will drop two tracks of Detroit-style freakin’ from newcomer Peggy Gou next week.

The South Korea-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer joins the label arm of the London record shop after dropping her debut Art of War EP on UK label Rekids at the start of 2016 (which was also notable for including a remix from White Material character Galcher Lustwerk).

The two-track 12″ kicks off with the twinkling, Motor City-flavoured ‘Day Without Yesterday’ before venturing into acid territory on the seductive B-side ‘Six O Six’, with Gou providing a counting lesson in her native tongue over sultry piano sweeps and blooping keys.

It’s a compact and freaky gem for your record bag, and it’s out now from Phonica Records and on March 18 elsewhere. Stream ‘Six O Six’ below.
