The rising Canadian producer announces a four-track EP.

Project Pablo’s I Want To Believe was a balmy highlight from 1080p’s 2015 catalogue, a lo-fi and laidback house record infused with vintage funk, heat-baked cassettes and a salty breeze wafting from his then-home of Vancouver.

Having relocated back to Montreal, Patrick Holland has announced a new record on Magicwire, the label run by Lone. The pairing makes sense – Lone’s starry-eyed optimism and hip-hop-rooted grooves come from the same place as Holland’s carefree vibing and funked-up drum samples, and they come together on the new EP, Priorities.

The four tunes on the record take inspiration from “the depths of adult contemporary and the moods and ‘tudes of Beaubien Ouest,” says the label. Check out ‘Warm Priority’ below, which puts some slap bass to good use under gorgeous noodling keys. Priorities is out on April 9.
