Brooklyn megaclub seized by authorities.

Verboten has reportedly been shut down for “nonpayment of taxes”. The New York state government seized the Williamsburg property on Wednesday (March 30) and locked up the venue.

A notice posted on the venue’s door (pictured) reads: “This property has been seized for nonpayment of taxes, and is now in the possession of the state of New York. Any person who attempts to tamper or interfere with this property will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”

The nightclub’s managers had been accused of fraud and mismanagement by club investors back in January. Sources close to the club speculated to WeGotThisCovered that the closure was due to members of the nightclub’s staff failing to report all of its cash admissions.

The Rite Of Wednesdays event that was set to happen tonight has been moved to the Halcyon store inside of Output, reports RA.
