Seven years after receiving funding via Kickstarter.

Josh Dibbs, bka Deakin of Animal Collective, is set to release his first solo album Sleep Cycle after receiving initial crowd-funding for the project back in 2009. Due to “personal and professional issues,” the album was long-delayed but will now be released on April 8.

The awards for those who donated to his Kickstarter have been mailed, according to press release, and include art books, exclusive tracks and bonus videos, as well as a cassette version of the album, which will be its only physical release.

The album will be available Friday through all streaming platforms and digital retailers, but can be listened to now via Bandcamp. He has also shared a video for the track ‘Just Am’.

Update: The Bandcamp stream has been disabled, but is still available for preorder.
