The multireedist master pays tribute to composer Henryk Górecki.

Colin Stetson has taken the saxophone in highly singular directions both on his previous albums and for the many bands he’s worked with including Arcade Fire, TV On The Radio and Tom Waits. His new album, SORROW, pays tribute to Henryk Górecki’s 3rd symphony, a piece Stetson has described as transforming. Now the album is streaming in full before its April 8 release via Kartel Music Group.

Last year, Stetson released a collaborative album with Arcade Fire’s Sarah Neufeld, but SORROW marks his first solo effort since concluding his New History Warfare trilogy in 2013.

Listen to SORROW below.
